WHAT IS PORO SPACE ?
Porospace is a platform built on a simple idea — every traveler carries extra baggage space that often goes unused. Instead of letting it go to waste, why not turn it into value?
With Porospace, travellers can list the extra space they have, and people who need to send items can connect with them. It’s not a courier company, and it’s not a logistics giant — it’s people helping people. Think of it as a smart way to make your journey pay for itself while helping someone else deliver what they need.
At its core, Porospace is about trust, community, and making the most of what’s already there.
Our tagline says it all: “Where extra space pays.”
HOW DID I START ?
The idea of Porospace didn’t come to me in a boardroom or during some startup brainstorming session. It started while I was studying in England for my Master’s. Every time I came home to India after my semester exams, my phone would ring with the same question:
“Bhuvan, do you have any space left in your luggage?”
Friends would ask me to carry small things for them, and when I traveled back to England, the requests never stopped: “Bhuvan, can you bring this along? My parents are sending it for me.” I never had the heart to say no, because they were friends — and it felt natural to help.
But the real spark came from something deeper.
A close friend of mine from Kerala was suffering from severe health issues related to PCOD. The treatment system there was frustrating — endless appointments and delays. Finally, she consulted a doctor in India who prescribed medicines for her condition — but those medicines were not available in England.
Her father tried everything — but courier services wouldn’t accept the medicines. Meanwhile, his daughter was in pain, waiting helplessly. It took him 16 long days to finally find someone traveling who could hand-carry the medicines.
That moment hit me hard. I thought: there are hundreds of travellers going back and forth every single day. The problem isn’t lack of space — it’s that we don’t know who is traveling and what space they have.
And that’s how Porospace began — as a way to connect travellers with unused space to people who genuinely need it.
Porospace is built on a simple three-step process:
Travelers post their space – If you’re flying and have unused baggage allowance, you can list how much space you have and your travel route.
Senders connect with travelers – People who need to send items can search for travelers going the same way and request to share that space.
Mutual agreement – The traveler and sender directly agree on what can be carried, the price (if any), and the handover details.
No middlemen. No complicated systems. Just people connecting with people.
Poro Space doesn’t fix rates, and it doesn’t handle payments — it’s simply the bridge that connects extra space with real need.
At its heart, it’s trust + opportunity:
For the traveler, it’s a chance to make their journey pay.
For the sender, it’s access to a faster, simpler way of sending things safely.
Poro Space has always been about solving everyday travel problems. But as the idea grew, I realized it wasn’t only about unused baggage space — it was also about human connection.
Every time I spoke with friends abroad, especially NRIs, I heard the same story. When they wanted to bring their parents overseas, the ticket was never the real challenge — the journey was. Parents often needed someone to assist with a wheelchair, guide them through the chaos of connecting flights, or simply sit beside them with patience and care. Families abroad constantly asked: “Who will be there to help them until they reach me?”
That’s when it struck me — Poro Space could be more than a platform for sending parcels. It could be a place where families find companions they can trust. Travelers who aren’t just carrying bags, but who are willing to carry a little responsibility too — to walk with an elder, to lend an arm, to make a long journey less overwhelming.
Because in the end, travel isn’t measured only in miles or luggage weight. It’s measured in how safe and cared for we feel along the way.
To make Poro Space a global brand that transforms the way people travel.
We imagine a world where no baggage space goes wasted, where every journey has purpose, and where companionship and care flow as freely as luggage does.
Our mission is to solve real travel problems with simple, human solutions.
From connecting travelers with unused baggage space to helping families find trustworthy companions, we exist to make journeys safer, easier, and more meaningful. We are committed to ensuring this space is used purposefully and responsibly — never misused. Trust and safety are at the core of everything we build, because every connection made through Poro Space carries not just weight, but responsibility.
✨ From parcels to people, from problems to possibilities — Poro Space is where travel finds its purpose.
At Poro Space, we believe in keeping things simple, safe, and transparent. To make sure every journey stays smooth, here are some important terms and conditions everyone should know:
Important Terms & Conditions
Poro Space only connects senders and travelers.
We are not responsible for:
Parcel loss, damage, or delays.
Customs or immigration issues faced by travelers or senders.
Misuse or mishandling of items between parties.
Any tariffs, customs charges, or additional costs imposed by authorities.
Anything beyond facilitating the connection between senders and travelers.
Additional Notes
Travelers always have the right to reject parcels if they do not feel comfortable.
All agreements — including pricing, payments, and item handling — are strictly between the sender and the traveler.
At the end of the day, Poro Space is here to connect people responsibly. We ask everyone to use the platform safely, respectfully, and with honesty — because that’s what keeps the community strong.
Poro Space started with a simple observation, but it grew from a deep need — to solve problems that millions of travelers face every single day. What began as a thought during my student days has now shaped into a vision that stretches across borders.
This is only the beginning. The road ahead will bring challenges, learning, and growth — but with every traveler who joins us, every family that feels supported, and every parcel or parent carried with care, we move one step closer to building something bigger than ourselves.
Because Poro Space is not just a startup.
It is a movement — to make travel smarter, safer, and more human.
I am Bbuvhan Cheerla, and I founded Poro Space because I saw two problems up close — wasted baggage space and the lack of trustworthy companionship for those who need it most. These were not abstract issues, but real challenges I witnessed and experienced in my own life.
I want to take a moment to thank the people who stood beside me while turning this idea into reality.
To Puja Ankitha Ivaturi — for being my backbone on the tech side, especially since I come with no technical background.
To Pengwin Solutions — for believing in this idea and making it possible with their execution.
To Ashok Mahival, CEO of Kachaam Design Agency — for creating not just a logo, but an identity for Poro Space, and for offering startup guidance along the way.
To Mridhula Venna — for sharing valuable insights on the companionship challenges and helping me shape Poro Space to solve those real problems.
To my close friend Kamineni Teja — for diving deep with me into the problem and challenging me with sharper insights.
To my brothers Hemanth Ch and Manoj Kumar G — for always standing by my side.
And most importantly, to my parents — who have supported every dream of mine and helped me turn them into reality.
Poro Space is built on trust, care, and responsibility. My only wish is that this platform is used safely and purposefully, so it can truly solve the problems it was created for.
Thank you.
